One of the most famous regions of Spain is Andalusia because of its great history and culture. Andalusia is ancient having great history and it is rich with the remains of many civilizations. There are some fine structures that exist in Andalusia even today that are worth exploring. They belong to various eras of Spain and many of them are maintained well by the local authorities.

One of the best architectures of Andalusia is Alhambra. It belongs to the Islamic era of Spain. The word Alhambra means red castle in the Arabic language. It has red walls and it's awesome from inside as well as outside. There are gardens and palaces inside the Alhambra that amuse the visitors. There is a church in Alhambra which was originally a mosque. It has been restored in today's era for public exhibition.

One of the great cities in Andalusia is Seville. There are notable architectures in this city. The best one is the cathedral as it's the biggest cathedral of the world at the moment. It is 126 meters in length and 83 meters in width. This cathedral was made on the place of mosque belonging to the twelfth century. A unique architecture in the region is Alcazar. Many people consider it a gift from Islamic era as it's very romantic in appearance. It was a fort originally used by the governors of Cordoba.

One of the most renowned examples of great architecture in Andalusia is the Cordoba's Mezquita. The mosque is big with having a unique structure which is admired by all visiting it. It is one of the most beautiful mosques of the world even today. After Christians reconquered Spain they moved with great spirits in the developments of Spain. The era of renaissance gave new life to Spain. Ubeda's Plaza Vazquez de Molina is the perfect architecture belonging to Renaissance. Another great example of the same era is Capilla Del Salvador del Mundo. Apart from these architectures there were many notable buildings made in that era.

As far as rural architecture is concerned then the most amazing part of Andalusia is Las Alpujarras. There are white villages which are surrounded by gardens of vegetables, orchards and woodlands in this area. There are beautiful streams that flow through these villages. These villages are impressive because they have Berber styles. These villages are peaceful with having fresh atmosphere which is something desired by travelers.
