Campbell's Soup Is Going Halal To Appease Enemy-Financed Group

To orthodox Muslims, halal (Arabic term for "permissible" or "recommended") is a substantial practice. In conditions of diet, halal is to Muslims as kosher is to Jews. And halal is catching on, accounts The Stir. Campbell's Soup has decided to create halal-approved varieties marked by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). ISNA-emblazoned Campbell's Soup cans will hit Canadian shelves first.

Warhol 'spinning in his grave' after Campbell's soup halal

Everybody is in debate about Campbell's soup right now. This is all due to the halal-certified merchandise being pushed. According to The Stir, the ISNA has admitted ties to the fundamentalist organization Hamas, which is classified as a terrorist organization by numerous nations, including the United States. The ISNA has an interesting donor. The Sunni Wahhabi sect funds the group. According to Wikipedia, Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab was the 18th century scholar who founded the crowd which encouraged "purging Islam of impurities." Modern day Wahhabi publications the NGO Freedom House study found say Muslims ought to "always oppose infidels in each and every way" and "hate them for their religion... for Allah's sake." The Stir suggested that Andy Warhol can be spinning in his grave because he did create America's legendary Campbell's Soup can artwork.

A Facebook team preparing to boycott Campbell Soup

Kosher foods are commonplace in American markets, and the presence of such merchandise typically does not trigger unrest. However, what exactly are perceived by some as all-too-apparent links to terrorism have germinated various grassroots movements, like the Facebook crowd "Boycott Campbell Soup.". Seems like like groups like Boycott Campbell Soup only hear that enemy activities are acceptable when "a Halal mark doesn't change what is inside the can -- it means only that the ingredients used for making the soup are reviewed by the largest non-profit, religious, academic, and non-political Islamic group in North The United States," is said by Campbell. What Campbell Canada calls a "commitment to diversity and extraordinary, authentic nourishment for all," others call an affront to freedom-loving peoples. At 800-410-7687, you can reach the Campbell's Consumer Reaction Center. They are ready for phone calls to come in.
