Muhammad (PBUH) and Quran – Complementing Allah Almighty’s Guidance for Humanity  by Quran Reading
It is human nature to look for guidance and assistance, especially in places that are relatively new and unknown to him. That is why Allah Almighty descended about one hundred and twenty four thousand messengers in different times and places all through the history of mankind. This chain of guidance continued till last of the Apostles of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH) was sent to set a guidance pattern for humanity that would last till the Judgment Day.
Also, Allah Almighty chose Islam to be the final religion, honored by endowment of Muhammad (PBUH) as its messenger; the one who would convey the true, final, and ultimate message of Allah Almighty to humanity. Just have a look at what Qur'an, the final Scripture revealed upon Muhammad (PBUH) to assist him in propagating the teachings of Allah (SWT), says in this regard:
(7 ; 157). "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures);― in the Law and the Gospel;― for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil: he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him honor, him, help him, and follow the Light which is sent down with him― it is they who will prosper."
Now, this is how clear, eloquent, blunt, and precise Qur'an is; the biggest proof of truth in itself. The true and comprehensive teachings of Islam are complemented by Holy Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) collectively. In fact, religious experts explain that the life of Muhammad (PBUH) is nothing but truest interpretation and actualization of teachings. Muhammad (PBUH) is considered to be the very first Quran tutor (after it was revealed to him by Allah) teaching his companions whatever was revealed to him by the gracious Lord Allah.
Look how the following verse of Quran yet again clearly describes what Allah wanted of Muhammad (PBUH) by addressing him:
Ibrahim [14:1] Alif Lam Ra. A book which We have revealed unto thee in order that thou mightest lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into light― by the leave of their Lord― to the Way of (Him) Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!
In presence of such clear instructions, how can a person claim not to have known anything as the reason of his ignorance? That is why seeking knowledge of Qur'an has been declared as a revered religious obligation on all sane Muslims. There is such an abundance of worldly and heavenly benefits associated with learning Qur'an and practicing its teachings, as described by Quran and hadith itself, just as one example of hadith quoted below:
"On the Day of Qiyaamah a crown of such brilliance will be placed on the heads of the parents of one who learnt the Qur'aan and practised on its laws, that its glitter will outshine the brilliance of the sun which penetrates your houses. What then do you think will be the position of the one who himself learnt the Qur'aan and acted in accordance with it?" (Ahmad and Abu Dawood)
Talking of following such instructions in today's time; unlike what majority of people might presume, learning Qur'an has become even easier with provisions like Quran online, for which one needs no more than a computer system and internet access.
The truth is that Allah promises to return people on basis of their intentions behind their deeds. Rather than complaining about difficulty in learning Qur'an and Islamic knowledge, it is much better to go for whatever type of assistance one might need in achieving this honorable feat, because no one knows when their run of life expires.
