In Numerology (number science) "7" signifies "Holiness" and "closeness with God." The number 7 occurs in much of the symbolism of Christianity, and Judaism. From the Seven Days of Creation (Genesis 1:1-31 through Genesis 2:1-3) to the Scroll sealed with Seven Seals (Revelation 5:1) the number 7 is very prominent in the Holy Scriptures. All the Holy Scriptures were written in accordance with a Number 7 Code.
The Number Seven is highly significant in the religion of Islam. The Holy Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad during the 7th Century. Surah al Fatihah ("The Opening"), the Qur'an's first chapter, consists of seven verses. The Qur'an mentions the Seven Heavens in Surah 65:12. In Surah 15:44, there are Seven Gates to Hell. Prophet Muhammad ascended to the Seventh Heaven (from the Dome of the Rock in Yerushalem). During the Hajj, Muslims circumambulate the Kaabah seven times in the ritual known as Tawaf.
The Muslim Kalimah Shahada (the fundamental testimony of faith in Islam) also adheres to a Holy Number 7 Code. The Muslim publicly testifies that:
La ilaha ill Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah.
There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
The Kalimah Shahada is the Muslim version of the Shema':
Shema' Yisrael: Yahweh Aloheinu, Yahweh Ahad!
Hear O'Israel: Yahweh Our AL is ONE! (Deuteronomy 6:4)
The Kalimah Shahadah consists of seven words with 28 (7x4) 'Arabic letters. When spoken, the Kalimah Shahadah has exactly 14 (7x2) syllables. The total numerical value of the Kalimah Shahadah is 749 (7x107).
The composition of the Kalimah Shahada and the Holy Qur'an was Directed and Ordained by a Higher Intelligence. The Holy Number 7 Code of the Kalimah Shahada and the Holy Qur'an is God's Seal, Signature, and Stamp of Authenticity.
Another common denominator of the Holy Scriptures (the 'Arabic Qur'an, the Hebrew Torah, and the Greek New Testament) is that they all begin with the letter "B." The Holy Qur'an begins with, "BISMILLAH," or, "In the Name of God." "BISMILLAH" is a sacred alchemical formula which consecrates the most mundane act and transmutes it into a Divine Act of Worship. The gematria, or numerical value of "BISMILLAH" is 168 (7x24). This signifies that we should be ever cognizant to put God at the forefront of our program 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
When we commence all our affairs with the kavanah (intention) of pleasing God and doing His Will, then success in all our undertakings is assured! The true Muslim is in total and complete submission to God and begins all his actions with "BISMILLAH."
"BISMILLAH" begins with the 'Arabic letter, "BA." BA is equivalent to the letter BEYT in the Hebrew Aleph-Beyt. "BEYT" means "house." BA represents the Door of the House, and signifies the beginning of Initiation into the Mysteries of God.
